Dame Edna Films at Eastbourne Bowling Club

Barry Humphries AO, CBE (aka Dame Edna Everage) visited Eastbourne Bowling Club, Saffrons, on Wednesday 16th March and with a TV film company crew filmed a large range of the club’s winter activities. These included snooker, cribbage, table tennis and Bridge. Although the outdoor bowling season does not start until 16th April, the club prepared one of its two six rink greens early and twenty-four club members in whites and club colours provided a bowls playing background to many of Barry’s presentations to camera.

The Channel 4 documentary series should be aired in May 2016.
