Eastbourne Bowling Club - About Us

Eastbourne Bowling Club was founded in 1897 and has a proud and long tradition.

We have excellent facilities for bowling and the many social activities which take place during the year.

Our two 6-rink greens are superbly maintained and are well appreciated by our members and Sussex County Bowls who hold many competitions on our greens.

The Clubhouse, which has been recently refurbished, can hold over 100 guests and provides excellent bar and catering facilities.
We have our own large car park with ample parking for members and enough space for a coach.

Our aim is to provide bowling opportunities for all abilities and ages and have an excellent coaching system for new and novice bowlers.

Bowlers with disabilities are very welcome and we have disabled access to the greens, two wheelchairs, one electric, and other aids.

The Club has an exciting fixture list with local clubs and the many touring teams who visit Eastbourne each year.
Our members always provide a warm and friendly welcome to our visitors and the social interaction over a cup of tea or a beer at the bar is as important as the bowls.

There is a local league, town competitions and the Eastbourne Open in July and many of our members compete successfully at local, county and national level.

The Club has an active social side during the season and the winter provides opportunities for, short mat bowls, bridge, snooker, cribbage and table tennis.

There is something for everyone at this all year round club.
