Sussex ladies are through to the National Semi-finals (and hopefully Final) of the Walker Cup (double Rink).
At Old Coulson yesterday, in another day of searing heat, our ‘Top Eight’ beat Surrey in the morning 42 – 31, and then went on to beat Berkshire 43 – 33 in the afternoon. Two well-deserved wins.
The spectators were treated to some absolutely superb bowling from the two teams – Sue Taylor, Eastbourne, Emma Cooper, Worthing Pavilion, Denise Hodd, Polegrove and Skip Lorraine Kuhler, Worthing Pavilion, and Yvonne Woodcock, Goring Manor, Gill Hill, Eastbourne, Pat Escott, Ringmer and Skip Rachel Mackriell, Eastbourne. The two teams were encouraged by some highly vociferous supporters (Thank You boys!).
We are all so proud of our Sussex girls and look forward to the National Semi-finals and hopefully Final at Royal Leamington Spa on Sunday 19th August.
